Retained copy of the letter to James Dean from his agent Jane Deacy, dated 9 December 1954 to Dean at his home in Los Angeles. Deacy has just learned of Dean's casting in ''Rebel Without a Cause'' and writes in part, ''...Since you are retaining a lawyer in California, I am sending you everything I have. / Love and kisses, / Jane Deacy / P.S. I'm so happy over you and the picture.'' Single page measures 8.5'' x 11''. Toning and creasing, overall very good plus condition. From the estate of James Dean's agent, Jane Deacy.
