Jim Morrison film festival poster featuring his experimental short film ''HIWAY'', starring Morrison as a hitchhiker, described by him as a ''a movement from a state of nature gradually to city.'' Rare original poster promotes the film's world premiere on 27 March 1970 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver. Designed by Ihor Todoruk. Interestingly, once movie-goers arrived at the venue, they had to walk to the nearby Orpheum Theatre as the Queen Elizabeth only had a 16mm projector but the film was a 35mm print. Poster measures 17.5'' x 23''. Edgewear, with two small closed tears to margin. Minor creasing and tape to verso. Very good condition.
