Vintage lithograph by Leonetto Cappiello - called ''The Father of Modern Advertising'', of French absinthe maker Gempp Pernod, circa 1903 before the beverage was banned throughout Europe. Large and coloful lithographic poster is printed on two mounted sheets by Vercasson & Cie of Paris. Measures approximately 54.5'' x 77.75'', framed to a size of 57.5'' x 79.75''. Not examined out of frame but appears very good, with vintage stamp discreetly affixed at upper right, and horizontal fold as issued. Colors remain exceptionally bright and poster displays very well.
