Linda Darnell screen-worn dress from the 1940's musical ''Centennial Summer.'' Darnell plays a Philadelphia woman who vies with her sister for the affections of Cornel Wilde who comes to town for the 1876 Centennial exposition. This tan flowered 19th century style dress, by Oscar nominated costume designer Rene Hubert, features a buttoned front, cinch waist, brown lace trim around collar and down the sleeves, and tan bobbinet sewn inside to give the dress shape. Also includes silk flower and lace accent on the lower back. Measures 62'' in length. Includes 20th Century Fox wardrobe tag listing Darnell, Hubert and movie title. Light staining, else very good.
