Andrew Carnegie signed copy of his travelogue ''An American Four-in-Hand in Britain'', Carnegie's entertaining account of his visit to Great Britain. New York: Charles Scribner & Sons, 1899. Carnegie inscribes the dedication page to his maternal cousin, where he also pens a Scottish quote, ''To My Cousin / Thomas Morrison Esq / me worthy even of that name - 'We is a proud o ye Tammie'. With much genuine affection / Your Cousin / Andrew Carnegie / and half Morrison / Jany 18th 1903''. Bound in publisher's red boards with gilt lettering. Measures 5.25'' x 7.5''. Some shelf wear and sunning to spine. Half-title page detached and separation starting at front hinge, with minor soiling to signature page. Overall good plus condition. A unique signed book by Carnegie, with a nod to his Scottish roots.
