Emmy award for ESPN's coverage of the America's Cup in 1992. ESPN broke ground in 1992 for its coverage of the legacy sailing competition by affixing first-person POV cameras called ''JockeyCams'' to the boat which could pan and tilt. Full size Emmy award measures 7.5'' in diameter across the base and 15'' tall. Plaque reads ''1992 Emmy Awards for Sports / Technical Team Remote / America's Cup '92 / ESPN / Richard Pizzoni: Maintenance Engineer''. Award would benefit from re-plating as its gold plating has flaked off in places, also some oxidizing to base. Overall very good condition with no breaks or repairs as is often the case with Emmy awards.
