James Madison land grant signed as President. Dated 23 February 1815, document grants Isaac Gardner a portion of land near Cincinnati, Ohio, a result of an act passed by Congress to populate the the region. Vellum document measures approximately 13.5'' x 8.75'', with red wax-based paper seal at lower left. Some creasing and toning to vellum as expected, two folds and small bit of mousing at lower edge. Very good condition. Accompanied by engraving of Madison.
