James D. Watson and Francis Crick signed page of their discovery of the DNA double helix, the building block of life which earned them the Nobel Prize in 1962. Rendered upon a page measuring 8.5'' x 11'', Watson draws the structure of the DNA double helix, resembling a spiral staircase, and Crick writes the mathematical equation that characterizes the structure of its rungs, namely A=T and G=C (Adenine pairs with Thymine and Guanine pairs with Cytosine). Watson writes in black ballpoint and Crick in blue felt-tip; each man signs his name and inscribes the page to John Hooper. Shallow folds, overall near fine condition. With University Archives COA for both signatures.
