Charles Addams signed artwork measuring a large 13.25'' x 17'', completed in ink and wash. Artwork features a very old, spooky house for sale, so old that a family gazing upon it comments, '''I hear General Grant used to sleep here but the upkeep got the better of him.''' With amusing Addams-esque touches, such as a recluse peering out the upstairs window, a mummy housed within a tree, and a singular bent spike in the fence. Signed at lower right. Mounted to board measuring 17.375 x 19.5''. Some rippling to paper, overall very good to near fine condition. Originally gifted by Addams to the John Singer family of Baltimore.
