Arthur Ashe 1964 Eastern Grass Court Championship trophy. Held in South Orange, New Jersey, the tournament parlayed Ashe into the limelight as a player to watch, as he beat established players Dennis Ralston and Clark Graebner, and was ranked sixth in the world that year. Sterling silver trophy is engraved: ''Eastern Grass Court Championships Men's Singles Winner 1964''. Trophy measures 7.5'' x 7.5'' with three separate handles. Some minor tarnishing to silver, though can be polished. Near fine condition. With an LOA from Arthur Ashe's widow.
