Endearing limited edition Arthur Ashe teddy bear, owned by Ashe's family. The postage stamp printed on the teddy bear's shirt is the 37 cent stamp issued by the U.S. Postal Service in 2005 in Ashe's honor. In addition to his stellar accomplishments in tennis, Ashe was known for his humanitarian efforts, including civil rights and AIDS. Embroidery to the back of the shirt lists his wins: ''Grand Slam Champion / U.S. Open - 1968 / Australian Open - 1970 / Wimbledon - 1975''. Ashe look-alike bear is dressed for a match and sports plastic wraparound eyewear. Measures 6.5'' x 8.25''. Fine. With an LOA from Arthur Ashe's widow.
