Jean-Paul Sartre signed limited edition of ''Five Plays.'' Franklin Library: Pennsylvania: 1978. Sartre signs clearly on the fly-leaf. The plays, introduced by the influential existentialist playwright, include: ''No Exit,'' ''The Flies,'' ''Dirty Hands,'' ''The Respectful Prostitute'' and ''The Condemned of Altona.'' He states that the plays are an attempt to create ''...a social theatre drawn from actual contemporary situations...'' The 484pp. book is bound in red leather with gilt lettering and edges.
