Dr. Seuss autograph letter signed ''Ted'' on ''Dr. Seuss / The Tower / La Jolla, California'' blue letterhead. Presumably written in 1971, the year ''The Lorax'' was published. Reads in part: ''Dear Clark:...I'll be sending you a copy of my newest...the Lorax...in which I clobber the children on ecological matters (this is the book, the original illustrations for which were acquired by Lyndon and Lady Bird for the Environmental section of the new library in Austin.)'' Letter measures 7.25'' x 10.5'' on one sheet, front and verso. Fine condition.
