WWII German document officiating the release of a POW from a camp in Lodz, Poland. The partially printed document signed by a captain translates, ''...The Polish War Criminal Esliy Ortansky [name unclear] was discharged from the prison camp 'Rosenblatt' Lodz on 6-11-1939. He must report...to the ...commissioner...'' Verso reads: ''Healthily discharged / Owns following army equipment:...pants...boots...coat...bread pouch...and underwear.'' An eagle and swastika are rubber-stamped to the 8.25'' x 5.75'' sheet. Foxing, toning, separation to folds. Very good.
