Robert Ripley autograph letter signed, dated 2 August 1944. Intriguing letter on Guyandot Club stationery reads, ''Believe it or not, but when my taxi (with my almost continuous opportunings [sic] to the driver to crash all traffic signals en route) pulled up to the D.C. station, 'she' was on the platform waiting for me! - Ripley''; as ''she'' is in quotes, Ripley may be referring to an animal or artifact for one of his ''Odditorium'' museums, vastly popular at the time. 7.25'' x 7.5'' unaddressed letter has been trimmed, else near fine.
Rare Handwritten Letter Signed by Believe It or Not! Robert Ripley -- ...Believe it or not, but when my taxi...pulled up...she was on the platform waiting for me!...
