Winston Churchill autograph note, dated 12 May 1955 on ''Chartwell Westerham Kent'' stationery, his principal residence at the time. Note appears on a typed letter signed to Max Aitken, the influential media baron who owned several newspapers including ''The Daily Express'' and the ''London Evening Standard.'' Letter reads: ''...My election address is to be issued on Saturday for the Sunday papers. I thought you would like to see one earlier, even though it is too late to make any changes. I think things are going very well...'' Churchill then hand-writes, ''I am so glad about the Big Four Talks. Yours ever / W''. Churchill also hand-writes the salutation, ''My dear Max''. Letter on one page measures 7'' x 9.5'' with three holes punched along left. Elegantly framed with a photo of Churchill to an overall size of 22'' x 34''. Near fine condition.
