Rare Truman Capote document signed pertaining to a proposed television pilot based on ''Breakfast at Tiffany's'', his 1958 novella that spawned the classic Audrey Hepburn film of 1961. Document, dated 22 March 1977 upon Paramount stationery, is a deal memo, a rather informal type of contract used in Hollywood providing a preliminary overview of iconic agent Irving ''Swifty'' Lazar's role and terms as Executive Producer of the proposed show. Signed ''Truman Capote'' in blue ink on the second and final page under the handwriting (likely done by Capote) ''Deal approved as above:''. Measures approximately 8.5'' x 11''. Faint toning and staple punctures to upper left, else near fine.
