The quotation from ''Birches'' first appeared in the Atlantic Monthly along with ''The Road Not Taken,'' arguably one of the most recognizable poems ever written. Here the quotation reads ''Earth's the right place for love: / I don't know where it's likely to go better / -- Birches --''. Signed and dated, ''Robert Frost / February 23 1930''. Card measures 5.25'' x 3''. Second quotation is from ''The Trial By Existence'' from the noted collection ''A Boy's Will.'' It reads in full ''The utmost reward / Of daring should be still to dare.'' Signed ''Robert Frost'' in black ink. Measures 5.25 x 3''. Both pieces are framed with a charming 9'' x 11.75'' photo of Frost casually seated next to his dog. Framed to an overall size of 21.75'' x 18''. Light toning to cards, else near fine condition.
