Golda Meir typed manuscript signed, ''Golda Meyerson'' before her 1956 name change. Datelined Eretz Yisroe, 18 January 1935, Hebrew document originally accompanied a letter she wrote to A. Kaplan at the Jewish Agency in the wake of Hitler's rise to power and resulting significant exodus of Jews from Germany. Manuscript, titled ''Reminder of the Increase in Tourism in the Agricultural Industry'', cites half a dozen reasons for the influx of visitors to Israel and reports a need for government intervention on behalf of the agricultural industry, which has become overwhelmed by demand. It also identifies a need to construct additional housing. The Jewish Agency took heed, creating the Tourist Development Association of Palestine later this same year. Untranslated report runs 3pp. on 3 sheets, measuring approximately 8'' x 11''. Signed discreetly to bottom of third page. Paperclip imprint to upper right edges, light creasing and filing holes to right margin, else near fine.
