Remarkably scarce Golda Meir autograph letter signed upon her own business card as Israeli Foreign Minister to Baruch Zuckerman. She writes to her Zionist contemporary and close family friend in Hebrew from the hospital. Undated letter was penned sometime during her decade-long tenure in that office, likely later as her escalating health problems forced her resignation in January 1966. Letter translates in full to: ''Dear Baruch, I am very sorry that I will not be able to attend your birthday [26 June], along with your whole family. A thrombosis in my leg has put me in the hospital. Had I come I would have asked for permission to say what is in my heart. I will wait for another opportunity and for now I will only send you my best wishes and many returns. I send my love to you, Nina and the girls. Golda''. Letter occupies one side of the 3.75'' x 2'' business card. Near fine.
