Scarce signature of the celebrated French Revolutionary General Jacques Francois Dugommier, dated 1794. The Commander of the Eastern Pyrennes signs "Dugommier" on the order to move 50 cavalrymen from Jonquiere and Cantaluope to Morillan. The year of signing he defeated the Spanish at the Battle of Boulou and the Paris Metro station "Dugommier" is named in his honor. Order on "Dugommier" letterhead measures 7.25" x 11.25". Light toning, a hole from a missing wax seal and light wear on edges, else near fine condition.
