William Taft typed letter signed on personal stationery, dated 8 May 1919, en route to New York. Taft inquires of Edward Bok if he received a letter Taft mailed himself. The letter reads in part: ''...It is possible that with my lack of familiarity in doing my own work of this kind, I misdirected the letter or that it was not mailed. Will you please let me know whether you received it!...Wm. H. Taft''. Minor soiling to single page card style letter, measuring 7'' x 9.25'', with pencil notation in lower corner. Very good condition.
