Celebrated World War II General Mark Clark typed letter signed. Dated 17 May 1945, Clark responds to a boy's request and encloses a shoulder patch of the 15th Army Group. Clark writes, ''...On the red square is a white shield of blue waves symbolizing the Mediterranean Sea...[signed] Mark W. Clark''. Lightly toned and folded letter on ''Headquarters 15th Army Group'' stationery measures 6'' x 8'', and includes original envelope. Woven patch measures 2.5'' x 2.5''. Overall near fine condition.
