General Keller Rockey, commander of the Fifth Marine Division in the Battle of Iwo Jima, typed letter signed dated 31 March 1945. Rockey replies to a Mr. Sandquist, ''...we will probably be moving so fast that a scrap book will be difficult for me to keep and transport...[signed] K.E. Rockey''. Rockey signed the letter just five days after victory in the famous battle. Document on Fifth Marine Division Commanding Officer letterhead measures 6.25'' x 9.5''. Light soiling from tape residue else very good condition.
