Charles Dickens signed CDV photo. The English author and cultural icon of the Victorian era is pictured here at his desk, his finger poised to flip the page of a book. He inscribes upon the verso in French: ''Madame Fechter - With a thousand ascents of - C.D.'' Backstamped Mason and Co. London. Dickens' name is also written on the front border in an unknown hand. Toning and a small area of paper loss to upper left corner; scattered flecks of staining. Very good condition.
