Dated 31 December 1953, Clayton writes, ''We would very much like to handle your client - JAMES DEAN - on the same basis we have worked out with other New York representatives...Will you please send me pictures of Jimmy, a biography on him and some personal data - age, size, height and weight...He did such a good job recently as a young husband who murdered the storekeeper...''
