Retained copy of a letter from James Dean's agent Jane Deacy to Rogers Brackett's lawyer, Albert Heit, regarding ''Brackett vs Dean''. Dated 8 April 1955 while Dean was filming ''Rebel Without a Cause'', Deacy makes a payment against a claim that Brackett made for bills owed to him by Dean. Brackett famously had a relationship with Dean when the latter was a struggling actor, and decided to sue him for hotel bills after Dean secured the role in ''East of Eden''. Single sheet measures 8.5'' x 11''. Toning and some chipping, overall very good. From the estate of James Dean's agent, Jane Deacy.
