Letter from Dick Clayton's office to Jane Deacy regarding James Dean, their mutual client. Dated 24 August 1955, letter reads in part, ''Yesterday Jimmy and I had a meeting with Dore Schary and discussed his doing THE GRAZIANO STORY. It was a very good meeting and Jimmy and Schary hit it off very well. / The script will be ready in about six weeks at which time we will have another meeting after Jimmy reads it...'' Dean was going to star in this film, ultimately released in 1956 as ''Somebody Up There Likes Me'', but after his death the part went to Paul Newman. Letter measures 7.25'' x 10.5''. Paperclip impression, overall very good condition. From the estate of James Dean's agent, Jane Deacy.
