Photo signed by U.S. Army Major Dick Winters, Purple Heart recipient and commander of the 101st Airborne Division's ''Easy Company'', made famous in the ''Band of Brothers'' series. Winters also received the Distinguished Service Cross, given to soldiers who display extraordinary heroism in combat, after the Normandy invasion. Winters signs this photo in blue felt-tip and writes his signature motto ''Hang Tough'' on the photographic border. Glossy photo measures 4'' x 5.25''. Near fine condition.
