Sally Ride's personally owned NASA document dated 28 January 1978, just days after Ride was chosen as one of the Astronaut Group 8. Travel Request and Authorization document appears to be Ride's carbon copy, with purpose of travel listed as ''Orientation and press activities in connection with the selection as an astronaut candidate.'' Measures 8'' x 10.5''. Folds, overall in very good to near fine condition. With an LOA from CMG Worldwide who represents the Sally Ride estate.
