Theodore Roosevelt check signed, penned entirely in his hand to his secretary, Miss Josephine M. Stricker. Dated 7 June 1917 and drawn on the Astor Trust Company, Roosevelt pays her $200. Roosevelt's post-Presidency secretary, it was Stricker who announced Roosevelt's death to the public when he passed in 1919. Check measures 8.625'' x 3.125''. Partially affixed to mat board.
