General George S. Patton, Jr. signed program for a dinner in his honor, dated 7 June 1945 on the eve of World War II. Patton signs the front cover in black fountain pen, ''G.S. Patton Jr. / to / Chill Will Lane'', likely an affectionate nickname for William C. Lane, a Marine pilot who flew gas to Patton's forward areas in Europe. Program bound with woven cord measures 6'' x 9''. Vertical fold with light wear and toning, overall very good condition.
