Original Silver Snoopy Award, the pin of distinction personally given by the astronauts to NASA employees or consultants whom the astronauts believed did outstanding work to help with mission success. Fewer than one percent of those eligible to receive the award actually did. Pin bears the ''United Feature Syndicate'' and ''Sterling'' marks on its backing, most closely resembling Variant 3 which was awarded in 1969-1971. Without accompanying paperwork indicating who received the award, as is often the case, but still housed in the original plastic presentation case. Pin measures approximately .375'' x .5'' . Near fine condition.
