Exceptional Albert Einstein autograph letter signed with rare and desirable content on Einstein's theory of relativity, including him boasting that a scientist who sought to disprove it would fail. Writing to his eldest son Albert, Einstein also advises his son on anti-semitism and job prospects, warning him that the company Siemens is ''as far as I know--anti-semitic''. Letters by Einstein to his eldest son are also quite rare, underscored by the first sentence in Einstein's letter.
Dated 21 January 1928, letter in German translates in full,
''Dear Albert! / I haven't written to you in a long time. But private letters are quite unusual for me. The correspondence with the philosophically inclined Tete [Eduard Einstein] has, in a way, an objective character. The best thing, it seems to me, is that you're not getting so much of that awful pub food now. Even the strongest man can't endure that in the long run.
I think it would be good if you could change your position occasionally. Siemens has written you off. What else is there to consider? Siemens is--as far as I know--anti-Semitic. Doesn't AEG need such static saints as yourself? I have better connections there.
You don't need to read Garrowski; he doesn't understand anything. Currently, an astronomer named Leopold Courvoisier [1873-1955] is making headlines, believing he has disproven the theory of relativity through experiments. However, he will likely suffer the same fate as Dayton Miller [1866-1941] in America, whose experiments have already been completely refuted. The most interesting thing in physics right now is the atomic theory, which has taken a very curious path, one that differs greatly from mine, without contradicting the theory of relativity. I have been struggling with this a great deal so far, without success. But eventually, I have gradually become an old man and must more or less switch to watching. Technically, I am working more and more with Szilard. We have already sold one minor patent and linked another to a company. We still have the main issue in hand and are negotiating with AEG. If you were a mechanical engineer, I could easily find you a position. Unfortunately, I have no direct connections in the construction industry. / Best regards / Albert''.
Two page letter on a single sheet measures 5.75'' x 8.25''. Folds, overall near fine condition. A very unique letter by Einstein with phenomenal content.
