Thirty-seven captivating albumen photographs of 1880's Egypt in a vintage album. Nearly all photos bear the Zangaki brothers mark, while others are likely the work of photographer Hippolyte Arnoux. The photographs capture images of Sphinxes, Cairo, The Pyramids and the Suez Canal, along with riveting portraits of Egyptian families, children and merchants wearing traditional garb. Each 8.75" x 11" albumen photograph is mounted to a heavy paperboard album page. Minor toning or fading to some photos, overall in very good to near fine condition. Album measures 12" x 9.75". Separation to spine with some loose pages. A rich addition to an Egyptology or photography collection.
