Original lot of items from the Apollo 11 launch. Lot includes:
1) Pass to the launch, uniquely numbered 1820 on the verso. Front of card features the Apollo 11 mission insignia and verso shows the meatball NASA logo along with the statement, ''This credential is issued to the bearer for his sole, exclusive, personal use, and is not transferable. After launch, it may be kept as a souvenir of the mission.'' Measures 5'' x 3''. A few spots of discoloration, overall near fine.
2) Invitation to the launch with R.S.V.P. requested. Card-style document opens to a map of the event with additional information such as hotels for visiting guests. Pale blue invitation measures 9'' x 6'' opened. Tape remnant on verso, else near fine.
3) Invitation to a pre-launch briefing hosted by NASA executives and astronaut Thomas Stafford, held the day before the launch. Card measures 4'' x 6''. Tape remnant on verso, else near fine.
Lot also includes a newspaper article regarding the recipient who attended the launch and a photo of him with his son, with the Apollo 11 rocket visible in the background.
