King here pens a lengthy inscription to Gwen Brown, ''With best wishes and genuine appreciation for the attention you gave me as one of my nurses while I recuperated at Harlem Hospital. / Martin L. King Jr.'' Penned in blue ballpoint, with ''(1958)'' also written at top in same pen. Book measures 5.75'' x 8.25'' and runs 229pp. Handwriting on front pastedown listing important dates in King's life, likely done by Brown. Light shelf wear, overall very good.
