Farrar, Straus & Giroux: New York: 1974 first edition, first printing. Signed and inscribed in black felt-tip to front free endpaper, ''For Elgen Long, / with all good wishes - / Michael Collins''. Collins records his NASA memories in this memoir, including those of his solo orbits to the dark side of the moon. Measures 6'' x 9.25''. Housed in original dustjacket. Minor chipping and creasing to jacket; spot of foxing to signature page. Overall very good plus condition. Accompanied by a letter signed by Collins to the book's recipient, reading in part, ''I certainly put a lot of time and effort into [the book], and it is gratifying to know that someone thinks it was worth it.''
