Original set of Nuremberg badges worn by the 6850th Internal Security Detachment at the International Military Tribunal, better known as the Nuremberg Trial. The 6850th ISD was a U.S. Army unit responsible for guarding the Nazi war criminals at Nuremberg and for securing the Palace of Justice. These DUI (Distinctive Unit Insignia) crest badges feature Nuremberg's L. Chr. Lauer Mint maker's mark on the reverse; front features a design symbolizing justice over evil, with a broken Reichsadler eagle at the base. Each metal badge measures 1.125'' x 1.5'', with spinners intact on reverse. Very good plus condition. With copy of 1946 memo describing the design of the badges.
