Von Braun signs the front free endpaper in blue ballpoint, ''To Vicky Rafel / Cordially - / Wernher von Braun''. This charming book features children's letters to NASA, recalling the excitement of the possibility of space travel during the 1960s. Von Braun writes a foreward to the book, reading in part, ''...we find the early dawning of a burning curiosity which will lead those youngsters who nourish it into their adulthood farther into space than we ever dreamed.'' Hardback book measures 5.625'' square with pictorial boards. Minor toning to endpapers and discoloration to boards, overall very good plus condition.
