Button is identified as being worn shortly after Washington's first inauguration, inspired by Robert Livingston's proclamation, ''Long Live the President!'' after Washington took his first Oath of Office. Measures 34mm in diameter. Very good plus condition with minimal rubbing but shank broken on reverse.
