As a member of Connecticut's legislature, Johnson signs a land grant offering a ''Samuel Winston of Stratford...two acres and four rods'' of land in New Stratford, Connecticut. Signed boldly in four places, ''Wm. Sam'l Johnson''. Partially printed document on one page measures 6.25'' x 10.5''. Toning throughout and slightly uneven edges. Very good condition overall.
