Landmark issue of Hugh Hefner's pioneering and controversial men's magazine, featuring the famous color centerfold of Playboy's first ''Sweetheart of the Month,'' Marilyn Monroe, with ''First Time in any magazine / Full Color / the famous Marilyn Monroe Nude'' printed on the cover. Magazine, measuring 8.5'' x 11'', has the original black square printed to the upper right of the front cover and two-staple binding. Small ink notation to cover near price label, with minor creasing to covers and scattered light staining, else near fine. A rare treasure in superb condition.
