Esteemed journalist Edward R. Murrow signs, ''E R Murrow'' in blue ink upon his personal stationery. The reporter who covered WWII and took on Joseph McCarthy writes to William J. Donovan in a typed letter dated 6 October 1952: ''...I am indeed flattered to be asked to become a member of the Robert Patterson Memorial Committee and regret that I must decline...The fact of the matter is that my present radio and television broadcasting requires me to work a seven-day week...'' Measures 7.25'' x 10.5''. Pencil notation to the upper left and creasing, else fine.
